- This requirement is for a 3 year firm-fixed-price, multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for radiological controlled (RADCON) anti-contamination gloves and shoe covers. The minimum guarantee for this multiple award solicitation will be $150,000.00. This amount will be divided equally among all awardees. The maximum contract dollar value of this IDIQ is $14,415,000.00. This acquisition will be conducted using FAR part 12 procedures, acquisition of commercial items, utilizing full and open competition. ***The Berry Amendment applies to this acquisition. *** RADCON anti-contamination gloves are made out of 100% natural latex and are used for routine nuclear reactor maintenance, clean-up, and the storage or decontamination of radioactive material. Anti-contamination gloves provide a superior barrier against dermal contamination, and they are resistant to abrasion, chemical attack, cuts, punctures and snags. These gloves are primarily controlled by the military specification MIL-G-82242 and further defined by the individual repair part ordering data (IRPOD). The gloves will require production lot samples, first article testing (both contractor and Government), Reports of test inspections (ROTI), and shelf life certification. These shoe covers have an 800% stretch factor to fit multiple shoe sizes and to allow for œeasy-on, easy-off use, and they have specially molded soles to provide a firm grip on slippery surfaces. These shoe covers are primarily controlled by the Fleet Radiological Support Division (FRSD) specification 12.0022, 12.0023, 12.0024, 12.0026, and further defined by the individual repair part ordering data (IRPOD). The shoe covers will require first article test (contractor only), shelf life certification, and certificate of compliance.
