- Description Request for Information (RFI) V Ruggedized Laptop DUE: 1/6/15 The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 63320 is seeking information on commercially-available Ruggedized Laptops. The Ruggedized Laptop must be capable of the following: - Windows 7 Operating System - Bluetooth and Wireless options must be removed or must be have the ability to be hardware or software disabled - Removable Hard Drive - 100/1000 Base-T Ethernet Connection - Display o Minimum Size: 15 Size o Resolution: Supports 1920 x 1080 o Minimum Brightness: 800 NITs Brightness with contrast ratio 5:1 to support direct sunlight readable specifications o Variable brightness controls (Please specify lowest NIT level for your product) - Performance o Minimum Processor: Intel i7-4600M 2.9GHz Processor, 3MB Cache o Minimum Memory: 8GB DDR3 RAM o Minimum Storage: 512MB (Threshold), 1TB SSD (Objective) Environmental Requirements (Please provide specifics for your product) o Temperature X Operating: -20 degrees C to +55 degrees C X Non-operating: -40 degrees C to +70 degrees C o Water Resistance: IP65 (Threshold), IP67 (Objective) o Shock: X Operational: 2.5g, 11ms X Non-operating: 10g, 11ms, 36 inch, 6 axis o Vibration: X Operational: 2g RMS, random excitation, 5-500Hz X Non-operating: 3g RMS, random excitation, 5-500Hz Review of this information is being performed by SSC-LANT Code 56220, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of commercial Ruggedized Laptops to determine if the solution meets the Governments requirements. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SSC-LANT documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a description of features. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SSC-LANT projects. If a SSC-LANT project requiring this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveys and focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Submittals Respondents are required to submit complete product information that demonstrates the specifications identified above.
