Description
Amendment 7: To address questions received 1. QUESTION: Line item 0020 and 0021 are demo metal buildings, the measurement is CF. I don't understand how the building will be measured for issuance of a delivery order. If a metal building is 60 feet by 100 feet and 24 feet tall does that mean the cubic feet will be: 60 x 100 x 24 = 144,00 CF? or will the walls and roof be measured and if so what thickness will be used? I don't know how to bid these line items. ANSWER: Correct the quantity would be 144,000 cubic feet and include everything including the roof to the surface of the slab 2. QUESTION: An earlier question that was answered stated that line item 0021 didn't include slab removal. Line item 0021 is for Lead based paint metal buildings, line item 0020 is for metal building excluding slab, what will I do differently as a contractor between these two line items? ANSWER: Portions of steel facilities that has been found to have LBP are required to stay separated and the recycle company notified that it contains lead based paint so they can notify the company that is doing the actual recycling so they can exercise the appropriate safety procedures. 3. QUESTION: Line item 0004 says disconnect and cap water, sewer or gas. Will the contractor actually disconnect these utilities or will Ch2m Hill and Clarksville Gas actually do the disconnecting & capping, and if they do will we have to pay them? ANSWER: When this line item is issued the contractor is expected to do the actual work while coordinating with CH2MHill and Clarksville Gas. 4. QUESTION: Is the demolition contractor permitted to provide utility disconnects with his own forces or it a requirement to use CH2M Hill or their designee to provide cut, caps, and cut and rolls? ANSWER: Yes, the demo contractor is to do the actual disconnects with his forces while coordinating with CH and Clarksville Gas Last day for questions will be 18 December 2014 at 10:00 a.m. CST as Offer date remains unchanged 19 December 2014 at 10:00 a.m. CST Offers may be submitted via email (preferred) to salonda.m.ozier.civ@mail.mil or via mail to 922nd CCBN MICC - Fort Campbell, ATTN: SaLonda M.
