Description

The United States Coast Guard C-27J program requires updates to their C-27's navigation system every 28-days to satisfy Aeronautical Information Regulation And Control (AIRAC) cycle requirements. The AIRAC cycle is the 28-day period that has been established for governments to introduce planned changes to their navigation procedures and facilities. The Contractor shall provide the United States Coast Guard with navigation database (NavDB) updates, with coverage of the Americas (North, Central, and South) and the Caribbean, that are capable of being downloaded to a compact disc (CD), via the Internet. Due to the Flight Management System (FMS) currently installed in the C-27J, Honeywell is the only manufacturer that can provide the software language specifically designed to interface with the FMS.
