Beckman Coulter, Inc, 205 S Kraemer Blvd, Brea, CA 928121-6232 is the only source that can provide a particle size analyzer LS13 320 equipped to run an optical suspended fluid sample (fluid module requiring approx. 0.1 to 20g), hazardous fluids module requiring approx. 5 to 500 mg, micro volume module requiring approx. 1 to 50 mg, and a dry powder module requiring approx. 10 to 1000g. The analyzer should measure particles in the 0.4 to 1000 m range. The following particle size analyzer specifications are required: 1.Measure particles in the 0.4 to 1000 m range. Capable of handling a wide variety of particle types: natural sediment particles, engineered milled particles, particles of varying shape and composition. 2.Easy to use computer software (updates and upgrades included) that is compatible with Microsoft Excel. 3.Fluid module to analyze optical suspended fluid samples (ranging in size from 0.1 to 20 g), fluids samples ranging in size from 5 to 500 mg, and very small volume samples ranging from 10 to 50 mg. 4.Dry powder module to analyze both free flowing and non free flowing dry samples from a range of 0.375 to 2000 um. Mass of dry samples must be in the range of 10 to 1000 g. 5.Enhanced laser diffraction must be 0.04 - 2000 um 6.Hazardous fluids module requiring a range of 5 to 500 mg. 7.Micro volume module requiring a range of 1 to 50 mg. The Beckman Coulter, Inc particle size analyzer LS13 320 is essential in performing civil and military research missions at ERDC. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this product must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this product as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within three (3) calendar days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable products are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
