- Description
- This is a synopsis of the AF requirement, no award will result from issuance of this synopsis and no proposals are expected, nor shall any be accepted as a result of this notice. After the closing date of this notice the solicitation will be issued under the same number - FA8203-15-R-0004. This requirement is limited to engineering approved sources on the Screening Analysis Worksheet (761). Any new source that would like to become qualified must follow the instructions on the Source Qualification Statements (NSN and Forging SQS's separate). The upcoming requirement is for 384 Each F-16 Aircraft Wheel Assemblies. NSN: 1630-01-606-0371LE. This item also requires a First Article (FA) submission and has a CDRL attached for the First Article. This FA requires government testing at Hill and the test report is required. FA is expected to be due 365 days from forging approval and the government test center is given 120 days to test the FA from date of submission. Awardee should notify the government 15 days prior to shipping FA for testing. A New forging line item is also included. Pseudo NSN is listed as 1630-DV-G15-0001LE. This item is a ship-in-place item and delivery is to be determined in the proposal. After awardee is identified they will be required to qualify the forging through the responsible AF engineering office. Once approved, acceptance of the forging will be made by certification of the responsible DCMA Quality Assurance Representative. The contractor shall provide a letter to the forging house that states that the forging is being paid for under the determined contract number at time of award and that the government will retain unlimited usage rights to this new forging. A copy of this letter is to be provided after award and forging approval to the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO). If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly.
