- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA, requires a contractor who shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish all labor and materials to perform the work for renovations and upgrades to Modernize Freight Cart Lifts as required by drawings and specifications. Modernization of the Freight Cart Lifts will include but not be limited to general construction, alterations, selective demolition, Fire alarm systems, mechanical, electrical work, necessary removal, salvage and/or replacement of existing structures and/or equipment and construction and certain other items. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, testing and reports in accordance with all federal, state and local codes and regulations. The magnitude of this Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PVAMC) construction project is estimated to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000. The project is to be completed 180 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The acquisition is subject to local prevailing wage rates (Davis-Bacon Act). Set-Aside Information: This solicitation is to be issued as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. The firm must be a small business under the relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. The NAICS code for this project is 238290 and the small business size standard is $14 Million. The firm must be registered and current in the following websites: www.sam.gov and www.vetbiz.gov. Bidders must ensure registrations in these websites are not expired and are correct, current and valid. A Site Visit will be held approximately two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the Site Visit will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about December 30, 2014.
