Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) located in Philadelphia PA has a requirement for investigative services through State, County or Local government for investigators who have law enforcement authority in the State of Maryland. This requirement is for the investigation of suspected fraud against the agency's Title II and Title XVI Disability Programs(Supplemental Security Income or SSI) disability programs and other Federal and State programs, including Title XIX (Medicaid) that emanate from these programs. Baltimore City, Maryland is one of several sites that SSA has chosen for this program. The requirements include: (1) Statewide law enforcement and arrest authority for the State of Maryland;(2) Access to reports which are restricted to law enforcement officials;(3)A license to carry a concealed weapon(must be armed), and (4) Training in arrest techniques. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract with a base year and four additional option years. This acquisition in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, NAICS code 561611, Size Standard $20.5 million. To be eligible for an award, all potential contractors will be required to pass a Security Suitability before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov and have a Dun and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Prospective contractors may obtain a Dun and Bradstreet number online at www.dnb.gov. You will need to have an active Tax Identification Number prior to requesting a Dun and Bradstreet number or registering in the System for Award Management. Registration is free- of-charge for all potential federal government contractors. The solicitation is scheduled for release on approximately January 9, 2015 with a response due date of February 6, 2015 by 2 PM. Any questions concerning the solicitation are due January 16, 2015 by 2 PM(EST). All answers to the questions will be in the form of an amendment to the solicitation and will be shared with all potential contractors.
