- Description
- LSJ No.: FY14-0381 BPA: HSCEC7-09-A-00002 was awarded on July 17, 2009, with a performance start date of August 1, 2009 for PSO services throughout the State of New Mexico. The current BPA Ordering Period, Ordering Period IV, was set to expire on September 30, 2014. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program in accordance with FAR 8.405-6, "Limited sources justification and approval." The proposed 4-month BPA extension is to acquire continued PSO services from October 1, 2014 through January 31, 205 at an approximate value of $2,378,098.21. In accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), the circumstance restricting competition for this acquisition is there is only one source capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS) has a requirement to secure on a limited source basis continued Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at various locations throughout the state of New Mexico until award of a competitive follow-on contract is made and completed. The four month period shall allow the Government the necessary time to conduct discussions, adequately document its source selection, issue the award and allow for the 90-day transition. This LSJ is to acquire continued POS Services from J. Diamond Group, Inc.
