- Description
- Scope of work and drawings of the pintles. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is solicitating for a company to fabricate and deliver four (4) pintle assemblies including four (4) self-lubricated pintles and four (4) busings. This is for use on the upstream and downstream operating gate leves at the Black Rock Lock. The pintle is the lower submirged gate support. Pintle assemblies consist of a 12" diameter hemisphere ball (male component) which mates into a 12" diameter hemisphere socket (female component). The fabricated pintle assembly shall meet the specifications the attached SOW Evaluation criteria is the following 1. The bearing and self-lubricated material manufacturer is required to have a minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing self-lubricated materials and bearings. 2. Submit along with the bid as a bid submittal, a Manufacturer's Experience Record which details the number of years the manufacturer has been fabricating self-lubricated materials meeting the attached specifications and a description of at least 3 previous, separate, similar installations within the last 10 years. Installations include those where a hemispherical pintile surface is used in a submerged marine environment. 3. Submit a data sheet of the proposed self-lubricating line, showing it mets the requirements of a performance score of 350 or above for both wet and dry testing under CERL TR 99/104. If the reqirements in 1-3 are not met, it may be terms for a disqualfied bid. Bids are due to Cheryl A Michener NLT January 5, 2015 at Noon.
