Description

The purpose of this notice is to announce the Government's intention to host an industry day for the AWIPS recompete acquisition along with other key acquisition dates. 1) Anticipated Draft RFP Release Date - January 2015. 2) Industry Day at the NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction (NCWCP) Conference Center located in College Park, Maryland - February 3-4, 2015. 3) Anticipated Final RFP Release Date - March 2015. 4) Proposal Due Date - June 2015. Responses to attend the industry day are not being requested at this point, details on the event will be forthcoming. The Government intends to make available on Fedbizopps.gov a listing of the companies that responded to the original Request for Information (RFI) posted on January 16, 2014. The purpose of this announcement will be to foster subcontracting opportunities for small businesses in the AWIPS Recompete Acquisition. If you do not wish for your company's name to be included on that published list you must send an email to Kenneth.brumfiel@noaa.gov by December 31, 2014 requesting to be removed from the list. The Government is not seeking additional capabilities packages to be submitted at this time.
