- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Huntingdon Sheriff's Office, 241 Mifflin St, Ste 1, Huntingdon, PA, a contract for a base plus 4 option years for law enforcement services. The Huntingdon Sheriff's Office will provide for patrol servces for the enforcement of civil and criminal laws of the State and Huntingdon County, PA at Raystown Lake, Hesston, Huntingdon County, PA. In accordance with US Code 2010, Title 42, Chapter 19B, Subchapter IV, Section 1962d-5d, USACE is authorized to enter into contracts with states and their political subdivisions to obtain increased law enforcement services at civil works water resource projects to meet needs during peak visitation periods. Services to be provided include enforcement of state and local laws in effect on USACE property above the level normally provided. Under Federal land acquisition laws and policies, state and local law enforcement authorities retain the authority and responsibility to enforce applicable state laws on USACE property acquired for its water resource development projects. Huntingdon Sheriff's Office, 241 Mifflin St., Ste 1, Huntingdon, PA has the primary authority and sole responsibility to enforce state law within its' jurisdiction, which includes that USACE property at Raystown Lake, Huntington County, PA. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by 10:00 AM 22 December 2014 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
