Description
This is a Sole Source Synopsis announcement. A written solicitation will not be issued. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Gravois Aluminum Boats, LLC (doing business as Metal Shark) located in Jeanerette, LA for 10 meter (M) Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) for the Government of Kenya under Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Pseudo Case # P3-P-LAA. The procurement of these boats will provide logistical commonality with their previous procured boats. Under FMS Case # H6-P-SXA, Metal Shark won a competition to provide 10M RHIBs. This solicitation is to procure an additional six (6) 10M RHIBs under FMS Pseudo Case # P3-P-LAA. The US Government anticipates procuring outfitting equipment, diagnostic equipment, spare parts, training and reactivation services, and trials and logistics services. Metal Shark has the background knowledge and experience required and is the only one source capable of providing the boats in order to provide logistical commonality with the previous procured boats. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 336612, Boat Building. Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is 500 Employees. The intent of this notice is not to solicit competitive offers. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. Interested party's response to this Synopsis shall be limited to 3 pages and shall include the following information: 1. Pary's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Party's capability to meet the key requirements based on a tested system. 3. Party's type of small business and Business Size (Whether HUB Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a)). 4. Party's Joint Venture information if applicable - existing and potential. Interested parties shall respond to this Sole Source Synopsis no later than 2:00 PM (EST) 05 January 2015.
