Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract to provide hopper dredging for the Galveston Ship Channel, Texas, Entrance Outer, and Inner Bar Channel, and Houston Ship Channel, Bolivar Roads to Redfish Reef in Galveston and Chambers Counties, Texas. The work consists of hopper dredging of maintenance material in the Galveston Inner & Outer Bar, Entrance, and Houston Ship Channel from Bolivar Roads to Redfish Reef. This project has 6 Options which includes an option for beach placement in Galveston of 1,005,000 cubic yards of material from the Galveston Harbor Inner Bar Channel. There will be no levee work for this project. Schedule No. 1 requires dredging of approximately 2,171,000 cubic yards of material; total dredge material to be removed including options is approx. 3,574,000 cubic yards of material to be dredged. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 and Options Nos. 1 thru 5 will be based on the following production rates: Galveston Harbor, Schedule No. 1 (Galveston Entrance Channel and Outer Bar and Inner Bar Channel), Option No. 1 (Galveston Extended Entrance Channel) & Option No. 2 (Galveston Entrance Channel), require a minimum production rate of 900,000 cubic yards per month. Schedule No. 1 (Houston Ship Channel), and Option No. 3 (Houston Ship Channel, Bolivar Roads to Redfish Reef), require a minimum production rate of 700,000 cubic yards per month. Completion time for Option No. 6 (Beach Placement Galveston) is 45 calendar days. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The Solicitation is UNRESTRICTED, full and open competition to both small and large businesses. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 6 January 2015. Response date is 5 February 2015 @ 2:00 PM. ATTENTION TO OFFEROR(s)/CONTRACTOR(s): On July 14, 2014, Small Business Administration (SBA) increased the monetary-based industry size standards to account for inflation. You must update your Representations (Reps) and Certifications (Certs) for the impacted North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes identified with an exclamation point quote mark ! quote mark next to the quote mark Small Business quote mark value in the System for Award Management (SAM).
