Description

INTRODUCTION/DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) located at 1800 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20006, intends to award a contract for residential construction services under the Independent Living Program. Construction will occur in a Veteran's residence. The intent of this project is to improve the Veteran's living conditions and allow access to the bathroom sink, safe transfer in/out of the Veteran's vehicle in the dark, ensure the existing ramp at the front door is safe and functional, and add emergency egress to the Veteran's bedroom. SET ASIDE: 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. NAICS: NAICS Code is 236118 with a $33.5 Million size standard. ADMINISTRATIVE: The Request for Quote (RFQ) shall be under No: VA101V-15-Q-0178. This acquisition will result in one firm fixed-priced contract with a period of performance of 30 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Specific details regarding this requirement will be provided when solicitation is issued. VA anticipates RFQ issuance no later than December 9, 2014. This notice is not a request for quotes or proposals; this is a pre-solicitation notice to inform all interested parties that The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), will solicit a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside RFQ.
