- Special Notice DARPA-SN-15-13 for DARPA-BAA-15-09 Proposers' Day Workshop DARPA-BAA-15-09 PROPOSERS' DAY WORKSHOP : DARPA will host a Proposers' Day Workshop in support of DARPA-BAA-15-09, Target Recognition and Adaption in Contested Environment (TRACE) on 16 December 2014 at the George Mason University Conference Center in Arlington, VA from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The purpose of this workshop is to provide information on the TRACE program, promote additional discussions on this topic, address questions from potential proposers, and provide a forum for potential proposers to discuss teaming opportunities. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION : The Target Recognition and Adaption in Contested Environments (TRACE) program seeks to develop algorithms and techniques that rapidly and accurately identify military targets using radar sensors on manned and unmanned tactical platforms. TRACE will develop accurate, real-time, low-power target recognition systems that can be co-located with the radar to provide responsive long-range targeting for tactical airborne surveillance and strike applications. In addition, TRACE will deliver a flight demonstration of radar target recognition operating in tactically relevant air-to-ground counter air defense scenarios. REGISTRATION INFORMATION : The Proposers' Day will be held at the George Mason University Conference Center in Arlington, VA on 16 December 2014 from 8:30AM to 6:00 PM. Participants must register no later than 4:00PM EST Tuesday, 9 December 2014 at the following website: http://www.solers.com/BAAinfo-reg/trace. Directions to the facility and other materials are also available on the website. There is no registration fee for attending this workshop. Due to space limitations of the workshop facility, attendance will be limited to the first 160 registrants, and no more than two (2) representatives per organization. The TRACE Proposers' Day Workshop is open to all U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents and is intended for a wide range of potential performers. To maximize the pool of innovative proposal concepts, DARPA strongly encourages participation in these events and subsequent solicitations by non-traditional performers, including small businesses, academic and research institutions, and first-time government contractors. Attendees are required to submit a US Citizenship Verification Form or DARPA Form 60, U.S. Permanent Resident and Foreign National Visit Request Form, in order to attend the workshop. Completed forms should be e-mailed to DARPA-BAA-15-09@darpa.mil no later than 4:00PM EST Tuesday, 9 December 2014. Note that the completed Citizenship Form must be verified by a security officer or company representative. The Citizenship Form and DARPA Form 60 are available for download at the registration website. Attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. SIDEBAR MEETINGS : There will be an opportunity to meet individually with the TRACE program manager after the briefing to the industry on Tuesday, 16 December and on Wednesday, 17 December 2014. Attendees will be able to register for an individual session via TRACE registration website. Attendance at the DARPA-BAA-15-09 Proposers' Day Workshop is voluntary and is not required to propose to any potential related Broad Agency Announcements or potential research solicitations on this topic. The Proposers' Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts. This announcement is issued solely for information and program planning purposes and is not a Request for Information (RFI). DARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposer's Day Workshop.
