Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Acquisition Center (NAC) will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) under RFP #VA797N-13-R-0027 for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) units, Electrodes and Accessories. VA approximately procures the following items annually; 1. TENS Kits - 175,000 2. Electrodes - 2" Square - 400,000 3. Electrodes - Rectangle/Low Back - 20,000 4. Hypoallergenic/Sensitive Skin - 40,000 The solicitation will be issued as a Full and Open Competitive Procurement. The contract period is for one base year plus four one-year option periods. A single award is anticipated from this solicitation. If the offeror is not the manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA797N-13-R-0027 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about December 3, 2014 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334510. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted. Interested offerors are advised to continuously check this URL for any changes to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer that if timely received, will be considered.
