Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS), San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) Small Business sole source contract with Isla Lab Products Corporation, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government anticipates that the program requirement will be fulfilled via a Firm Fixed Price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16.202. This acquisition is to provide preventive maintenance and repair services (including parts) for two (2) Roche Diagnostics Cobas B221 Blood Gas Analyzers. Qualified Offerors/Companies shall be experienced in operation, preventive maintenance, repairs, calibration and installation of software revisions and packages intended to update software versions and correct software errors and deficiencies. In addition, qualified offerors/companies shall demonstrate they have certified technical representatives to perform this contract. Please submit your expressions of interest to include documentation of company capabilities in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters will be issued to participants. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to procure subject services. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this notification. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by Tuesday 09 December 2014 in or before 1500/3:00PM local Puerto Rico Time/Atlantic Standard Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR Part 6. The Government will use the information received to determine whether other sources are available and capable of satisfying this requirement.
