Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking information on potential sources for two (2) Spiroflex Torsional Couplings, part number KJZ 282 W/1462, Stock number 3010123222644 to be installed on the USNS WALTER S. DIEHL. Lohmann Stolterfoht has all the property rights to the design of the ship reduction gear and PTO coupling. This coupling has been approved by ABS for this class of ship with this particular reduction gear and PTO generator. Tech Manual T9241-AJ-MMC-010 applies. The O.E.M for this part is Bosch Rexroth GMBH. The required delivery date is 4/1/2015. The delivery location is MSC San Diego. The estimated issue date of the solicitation N32205-15-T-1259 is on or about 17 December 2014. After issuance, the solicitation and all required supporting documentation may be obtained on the FedBizOpps website: https://www.fbo.gov/ under solicitation number N32205-15-T-1259. All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The Appropriate NAICS Code is 333613 which has a size standard of 500 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed; (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information.
