- Description
- The response date has been extended to 19 December 2014. This notice is a request for information (RFI) and is not a request for proposals. The government will not award a contract on the basis of this notice, or otherwise pay for information solicited by it. Proprietary information should be clearly marked. The requested information is for planning and market research purposes only and will not be publicly released. In accordance with FAR 15.201(E), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Description The NAVAIR Lakehurst P-8A SE Team under the PMA-290, P-8 Industrial Capability Program, is seeking market research information for commercially available test benches to perform Intermediate Level (Back Shop) and Depot static pressure testing of hydraulic and pneumatic lines and hoses of various lengths and sizes. The maximum pressure required for the hydraulic lines will be 15,000 PSI and the maximum required pressure for pneumatic testing will be 12,000 PSI. REQUIREMENTS: PART I - Technical Criteria. This request for information is focused solely on the specific information of interest as follows: • The Navy has a requirement to field a state of the art test bench to perform testing of P-8 aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic tubes to meet the requirements listed above. • It is desirable for the Navy to require the test bench to perform all of the required functions utilizing an input power of 115VAC at 60Hz. Is this something that can be reasonably achieved? If not, what would be the best option for input power for the test set described above. PART II - Submission of Information: - Vendors desiring to respond to this request should provide a white paper as follows: White Paper: Limit the number of pages to four (4) total (Times New Roman, Font 12, one inch margins, Microsoft Word document) excluding cover and photos which can be included separately. Other information of potential interest that vendors could include are: current and investigational applications of product; future commercial developments; references that document efficiency of the system or product; and photographs of complete system and components. Responses to this RFI are requested no later than 19 December 2014. Responses should be submitted electronically via email to Rayann Surel, contracts point of contact, Rayann.Surel@navy.mil, and John Laird, technical point of contact, John.Laird@navy.mil. Vendors are requested to provide a point of contact for their company, telephone number, FAX number, email and complete address with each submission of data.
