Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS), San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 13) Small Business sole source contract with OTO Metrics Puerto Rico Inc., under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government anticipates that the program requirement will be fulfilled via a Firm Fixed Price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16.202. This acquisition is to provide all labor, equipment and repair parts for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the systems hardware and software located at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System at the Audiology Service in San Juan, Mayaguez and Ponce Clinics. All inspections and maintenance services needs to be performed in accordance to the manufacturer's service manual instructions and procedures. The contractor shall comply with requirements of The Joint Commission Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (TJC). To comply with TJC requirements the contractor shall provide written confirmation that employees are competent to perform the task as described in the statement of work assigned on this contract. Please submit your expressions of interest to include documentation of company capabilities in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters will be issued to participants. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to procure subject services. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this notification. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by Tuesday 09 December 2014 in or before 1500/3:00PM local Puerto Rico Time/Atlantic Standard Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR Part 6. The Government will use the information received to determine whether other sources are available and capable of satisfying this requirement.
