Description
Market Research Form The purpose of this posting is to identify interested parties for an upcoming project on Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY & IMF). PHNSY & IMF requires an authorized contractor to provide discrete labor to perform tank preservation work for the Main Ballast Tanks (MBTs). The current schedule has work beginning in November 2015. If interested in receiving a direct copy of the solicitation when posted, anticipated in February 2015, please fill out and email back the attached market survey report. Contractor will be responsible for accomplishment of tank preservation work at PHNSY & IMF. Work will be performed in 10 MBTs on one submarine. The following is a condensed summary of work required. The solicitation will provide a full statement of work. - The contractor shall clean and repair/restore the preservation in the MBTs. - Preservation of components inside the MBTs, including but not limited to flasks, foundations and hangers is accomplished as part of tank preservation. - This includes blast, clean and paint MBTs which require complete replacement based on PHNSY & IMF initial inspection of the as arrived coating system. - Accomplish mechanical/hand prep, solvent clean, and paint MBTs which require touchup of the coating system; and blast, clean and paint in way of deficient sound damping and lead ballast removal/installation. - Provide painter/blasters, inspectors and supervisors qualified for critical coating work per NSI 009-32 and MS 6310-081-015. - Provide surface preparation as required in way of damaged sound damping tiles found during post blast inspection. - Naval Vessel tank preservation experience is preferred.
