Description

Combined Synopsis and Solicitation Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 22), 4811 Airport Plaza Drive, Suite 600, Long Beach, CA, 90815 as directed by VA San Diego Healthcare Systems (VASDHS) has a requirement for surgical pathology services for renal biopsies, muscle biopsies and consults in support of the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS), Pathology and Laboratory Department, located at 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA, 92161. The Contractor will perform a morphologic interpretation of the tissues examined, along with the required ancillary tests (frozen sections, electronic microscopy, and special stains) to render a diagnosis and notify the VASDHS of the patient's progress of the study and provide final results. See attached solicitation VA262-15-Q-0136 for entire statement of work. The Contractor's laboratory must be located within 50 mile radius from VA San Diego Healthcare System, and the specimen must be able to reach the destination within no more than two hours via ground transportation. The contract shall consist of one base year and one option year. Offers to this combined synopsis and solicitation shall be e-mailed not later than 11:00 a.m. PST on November 26, 2014 to the attention of Edgar Alvizar at edgar.alvizar@va.gov with "Interested Contractor - Surgical Pathology Services" on the subject line. Files should be sent in PDF format and no larger than 10MB or it may be rejected by the server. Vendor shall expect a confirmation e-mail indicating offer was successfully received by the Government. The Government is not responsible for rejected e-mails that exceed the e-mail capacity. Telephone responses shall NOT be accepted. Offerors shall submit their offers in accordance with the attached solicitation VA262-15-Q-0136 (see specific instructions on section "E.1 ADDENDUM to FAR 52.212-1 INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS - COMMERCIAL ITEMS.")
