- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for the fabrication of Vertical Launch System (VLS) Platforms for the Virginia (VA) Class and Los Angeles (LA) Class submarine hulls. Requirment is for three (3) Virginia Class VLS Platforms with options for two (2) additional Virginia Class VLS Platforms and (2) Los Angeles Class VLS Platforms. All Virginia Class (SSN 774) VLS Platforms to be built in accordance with the following drawing packages/documents: Drawing numbers 6984010, 8216623, ACD001-2924, ACD002-2924, ACD003-2924, RFD-ACD004-2924, RFD-ACD005-2924, Portable Platform Dimensional and Operational Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), 6633924A TLMD, and VLS Platform Tech Man Rev. 3 -SG420-CC-MME-010. All Los Angeles Class (SSN 688) VLS Platforms to be built in accordance with the following drawing packages/documents: 6633924A TLMD, VLS Platform Tech Man Rev. 3 -SG420-CC-MME-010, drawing numbers 5580125 and 5580126. The Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structure will be as follows: CLIN 0001: One (1) VA Class VLS Platform delivered to Groton, CT for First Article Fitment Testing. CLIN 0002 (Option):Shipping in support of CLIN 0001 of (1) VA Class VLS Platform from Groton, CT. to Guam. CLIN 0003: One (1) VA Class VLS Platform. CLIN 0004 (Option): Shipping in support of CLIN 0003 of (1) VA Class VLS Platform from Contractor Facility to Pearl Harbor, HI. CLIN 0005: One (1) VA Class VLS Platform. CLIN 0006 (Option): Shipping in support of CLIN 0005 of (1) VA Class VLS Platform from Contractor facility to Guam. CLIN 0007 (Option):One (1) LA Class VLS Platform delivered to Groton, CT for First Article Fitment Testing. CLIN 0008 (Option): Shipping in support of CLIN 0007 of (1) VA Class VLS Platform from Groton, CT. to Guam. CLIN 0009 (Option): One (1) LA Class VLS Platform. CLIN 0010 (Option): Shipping in support of CLIN 0009 of (1) LA Class VLS Platform from Contractor facility to Pearl Harbor, HI. CLIN 0011 (Option): One (1) VA Class VLS Platform CLIN 0012 (Option): Shipping in support of CLIN 0011 of (1) LA Class VLS Platform from Contractor facility to Pearl Harbor, HI. CLIN 0013 (Option): One (1) VA Class VLS Platform CLIN 0014 (Option): Shipping in support of CLIN 0013 of (1) LA Class VLS Platform from Contractor facility to Pearl Harbor, HI. Award will be made on the basis of the Best Value to the Government. Acquisition will be solicited on an unrestricted basis under NAICS code 332332; Size standard is 500 employees. The anticipated solicitation release date is 5 January, 2015. RFP period will be 30 days. The resulting contract will be for 36 months, with CLIN 0001 unit delivery required 6 months after award, CLIN 0003 delivered three months after the delivery of CLIN 0001, and CLIN 0005 delivered three months after the delivery of CLIN 0003.
