Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a minimum of three (3) cameras, one (1) protoflight and two (2) Engineering Development Units (EDU). Additionally, a COTS lens will be supplied with the camera to provide NASA engineers with a complete working camera system. This acquisition notice is for a visible camera system that is suitable to meet the on-orbit requirements of the Restore mission. NASA/GSFC plans to incorporate flight unit versions of this camera into their Restore mission payload to support operations, such as robotic teleoperations, general situational awareness and hardware monitoring. The mission requires that the camera assembly be small and compact in order to fit within the allocated payload space. Additionally, the camera must be supplied with a C-mount lens mount to enable connection with lenses baselined to meet mission requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=.The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.5 Commercial Test Program. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than 12/05/2014. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
