Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS DESIRES TO LEASE PARKING SPACE The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Lake City, Florida, desires to lease 55 parking spaces in the vicinity of the current VAMC, located at 619 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, Florida, that will be expiring. The lease term requirement is for a term of Ten (10) Years, Five (5) years firm, with five 1-year option period. The space shall be available for occupancy by March 1, 2015. Space within or fronting on the following boundaries: NORTH: SW Baya Drive SOUTH: SE Pine Drive EAST: SE Church Street WEST: SW Alachua Avenue The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. The Government will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as a basis to develop a cost-benefit analysis and to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or to remain at its current location. All offered properties shall be located within walking distance (0.25 miles or less in any direction) from the VA Medical Center, located at 619 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL 32025. If an offered property is located 0.25 miles or more from the above mentioned Medical Center; then the base price per parking space shall include a shuttle service at no extra cost to the Government. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as cost likely to be incurred through parking shuttles, which would include additional costs for labor and vehicles. A request for lease proposal may be issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs at a later date.
