Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 11, to furnish courier services to support the Battle Creek VAMC and supported facilities (Wyoming Health Care Center, Grand Rapids Vet Center, Benton Harbor Outpatient Clinic, and Lancing Outpatient Clinic) in Michigan. Courier services required may include the daily pick-up and delivery of mail bags, Diagnostic Lab Specimens, and reusable medical equipment between the Battle Creek VAMC and the 5 previously noted supported facilities (Wyoming Health Care Center, Grand Rapids Vet Center, Benton Harbor Outpatient Clinic, and Lancing Outpatient Clinic). This is a single award acquisition. Contractor shall be required to provide all necessary labor and equipment necessary to successfully perform this requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 492110. This will be a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The number of employees is 1,500. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about November 26, 2014. The anticipated award date is January 1, 2015 for a period of one year with 2 option year periods to be exercised at the government's discretion. No telephone requests will be honored. The government is not responsible to make available paper copies. Questions must be submitted in writing to the contracting officer. If contractors submit questions, they are strongly encouraged to do so within seven calendar days after the issuance of the solicitation. Verbal questions will not be addressed. All responses to questions which may affect offers will be incorporated into a written amendment to the solicitation. Offerors are encouraged and are responsible for routinely checking the web site for any solicitation amendments that may be issued throughout the bid period. No individual notification of amendments will be provided. Offer due date and time will be included in the solicitation document. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract neither does it obligate the Government to pay for any quotes or proposal preparation costs. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. All interested parties must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines prior to award.
