- Description
- IRPOD IRPOD RFI The Naval Supply Weapon Systems Support ( NAVSUP WSS ) Nuclear Supply Chain Management Directorate is dedicated solely to providing logistics and sustainment support to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We are responsible for the provisioning, procurement, and quality assurance of all components within the Navy's nuclear propulsion plants, also known as nuclear reactors. The Government, specifically the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS) Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate has an ongoing need for various competitively procured Navy Nuclear Water Chemicals used in the secondary system of the Navy's nuclear reactors. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) Codes for these items are 6810. The NAICS code is 325180. The size standard is 1000 employees. The 47 Navy Nuclear Chemicals, listed in the attached Request for Information, are currently purchased via competitively issued call orders placed against the following four blanket purchase agreements (BPAs); N00104-14-A-7000, N00104-14-A-7001, N00104-14-A-7002, and N00104-14-A-7003. Based on historical data, the Directorate anticipates issuing approximately 70 call orders totaling approximately $1,000,000.00 during the upcoming year. It is in the best interest of the government to establish BPAs with multiple suppliers in order to provide maximum practicable competition. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. However, interested small business concerns can view the attached Request for Information to determine if their capabilities meet the technical and quality requirements necessary for the manufacture of this complex and critically applied nuclear material. See attached RFI for additional information.
