Description
This Sources Sought announcement N62742-15-R-6700 is open to all businesses in the Southeast Asia area. It is issued to determine business capability and interest to perform a planned Wharf Construction Repair contract. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. There is no bid package or solicitation. All responses will be provided in writing via e-mail. No presentations will be scheduled. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific ROICC Thailand is seeking responses from business construction firms with interest and current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform the work described below at Sattahip, Thailand. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 million. The contract is planned as a firm fixed priced contract. The magnitude of range per FAR 36.101 is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The work covered by this planned contract consists of: Design Bid Build work for the construction repair of Thung Prong Wharf to allow mooring of ships and extend the wharf s service life. Work includes pile casing repairs, localized concrete repairs, demolition of the existing fender system, installation of a new fender system, installation of wharf life safety hardware and incidental related work. Interested businesses are invited to respond to this sources sought by completing and returning the response form provided with this announcement. Each responding business is requested to provide up to five example projects which best demonstrate the company s experience relative to the types of work covered by this requirement in order for NAVFAC Pacific to determine there are sufficient number of qualified businesses to participate in this planned requirement. Example projects should be representative of NAICS 237990, the description above, and be similar in size, scope, and complexity to this requirement. Example projects completed within the past five years are considered more relevant than projects completed more than five years ago. Submission of more than five example projects is not requested. When completing the response form, please take the time to complete the form sufficiently that NAVFAC Pacific can determine there are a sufficient number of qualified businesses available to participate in the planned solicitation. NAVFAC Pacific plans to issue the solicitation as full and open competition. Within the Narrative Description section of the response form, describe the projects sufficiently to demonstrate your firm s experience with the types of work described in the work description above. Respondents will NOT be notified individually of the results of the sources sought. Please respond to this announcement by 3:00 p.m. Thailand Time, Monday 1 Decemeber 2014 by submitting an e-mail with an attached electronic copy of your response to rrangel@jusmagthai.org.
