- SOURCES SOUGHT WI-FI VETERAN'S GUEST INTERNET ACCESS (VGIA) INTERNET SERVICES The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 8), James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, FL is currently seeking information from firms, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hub zone, 8(A), Woman Owned Small Business OR Small Business with the ability to provide these following services and requirements listed below: Statement of Work For Veterans Guest Internet Access (VGIA) SCOPE: The VA anticipates award to a single company for all labor, transportation, parts, equipment, supplies, and expertise necessary to install, connect, terminate, test, provide access to, and maintain a Veterans Guest Internet Access (VGIA) in the following locations at the James A. Haley VAMC and associated outlying Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in the Central Florida area. 1.Main Campus, Buildings 1, 30, 32, 36, 38, 41, 53, 56, and 68. 2. CONTRACT PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The work detailed in this contract shall be scheduled with the VA to be completed within 120 calendar days from date of notice to proceed. 3. SPECIFICATIONS: a. The contractor shall provide solutions meeting or exceeding all technical requirements. b. The contractor shall perform a test for RF interference and to identify optimum installation locations for access points. c. The contractor shall be responsible for the design, configuration, and installation of all cabling, access points, switches, and routers needed. d. Wireless internet access infrastructure must be distinctly separate wiring from the VA's OI&T wireless network used for VA business operations. e. Wireless internet access must not interfere in any way with the VA's OI&T wireless network used for VA business operations. f. Wireless internet access must not interfere in any way with any medical devices in the facility. g. Speed of this wireless system shall provide a minimum of 50Mbs download/10Mbs upload. h. Network devices shall be compatible with industry standard wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11b/g/n) i. Devices to be supported include both Windows © and Apple © computer systems, as well as smart cellular phones, and tablet computers. j. The Contractor shall adhere to the standards outlined by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA-101 Life Safety Code). 4. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS: a. The contractor shall install, and test each location to meet the technical requirements. The COR in conjunction with the facility managers will approve the contractor's work performance before VA acceptance is granted wireless guest network. b. The contractor shall be responsible to assess each facility for all required cabling, switches, and other equipment needed for installing their solution. c. The contractor shall be responsible for all cabling, switches, and other equipment needed for the infrastructure. All cable and fibers use for this service shall become the property of the VA. Period of Performance: One (1) base year (including weekends and holidays) and 4 one year option years from date of contract award. Special Requirements: All work shall be performed by fully qualified personnel. Employees must be aware that work is in a hospital environment and courtesy must be extended to patients and visitors. Work shall be coordinated to minimize impact to hospital operations. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 519130. To be considered a small business under this code the SBA size standard must not exceed $7.0M.
