Description
FAR Clause 52.22-6 Davis Bacon Act DOL Wage Rates. 1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT: • To repair (3) floating steel frame boat docks: 1.2 REFERENCES: NA 1.3 DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED: • North Dock: Re-attach (6) existing poly floats to steel truss frame and provide ¼" steel plate strap keepers to prevent floats from floating out from under framing during winter ice condition. • North Dock: Install hinges where individual pier frames are currently connected by bolts. • Fuel Dock: Re-attach (5) existing poly floats to steel truss frame and provide ¼" steel plate strap keepers to prevent floats from floating out from under framing during winter ice condition. • Fuel Dock: Install pylons at the edge of fuel dock to prevent fuel pier from swaying. • Middle Dock: Re-attach (10) existing poly floats to steel truss frame and provide ¼" steel plate strap keepers to prevent floats from floating out from under framing during winter ice condition. • Middle Dock: Repair (weld or replace damaged connection) of steel truss frame at (2) sets of guide piles where dock presently hinges under wave conditions. • Middle Dock: Install hinges where individual pier frames are currently connected by bolts. 2.1 SITE VISIT: A site visit is required prior to proposal. To make arrangements contact Station Marble Head Engineering Petty Officer MKC Kaseman (419) 798-4445. Once awarded the job, contractors are to arrange time and days for work to be accomplished after receiving notification from the U.S. Coast Guard Contracting Officer to proceed. Clause 52.222-6 Davis Bacon Act is incorporated DOL Wage Rates are attached, this contract will require contractors to pay their labors and mechanics employed under this contract no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits for corresponding work on similar projects in the area 3.1 MILITARY REGULATION: The contractor, his employees and sub contractors shall become familiar with and obey all station regulations. 3.2 All personnel employed on the project shall keep within the limits of the work and avenues of ingress and egress. Personnel shall not enter any other areas outside the site of work unless required to do so in the performance of their duties and have obtained verbal permission from the Engineering Petty Officer or Officer of the Day. 3.3 The contractor's equipment shall be conspicuously marked for identification. 3.4 There shall be no smoking in any Coast Guard building and only in designated areas. 4.1 WORK HOURS: The contractor shall perform all site work during the normal operation hours, 0700-1600 Mon-Fri except during federal holidays. 4.2 Any deviations from normal working hours will be discussed with station Engineering Petty Officer and agreed upon by all parties concerned. 5.1 LABORER WAGES: Quote must reflect hourly wages prescribed by the Department of Labor in the attached Wage Determination Document. 6.1 CLEAN UP OF WORK AREA: The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all trash and debris pertaining to the contract work from the limits of government property, as well as adjacent affected areas. 6.2 Disposal of HAZ MAT shall be in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations 7.1 ACCEPTANCE OF WORK: Prior to the acceptance of work by the Coast Guard the contractor shall arrange through station Engineering Petty Officer a review of work completed to ensure work satisfaction as well as proper clean up.
