Description

The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business construction company to provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment and qualified supervision required to construct the "Loading Dock Access Control" project #652-13-106 located at the H.H. McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 East Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Virginia, 23249. The project scope consists of providing a gated security fence around the backside of the main medical center (Building 500) that will enclose an area approximately 304,000 square feet. The security fence is designed to allow secure access for both people and vehicles. Improvements to the loading dock surveillance system is also included in the project scope. Contractor shall phase the work to allow vehicular traffic to pass through work areas at all times. The work shall be performed in strict accordance with construction drawings and specifications prepared by RGG Architects PLLC, and be completed within 180 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This includes final Inspection and cleanup. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The drawings and specifications will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on or about 11/14/2014. A date and time for a pre-proposal conference / site visit will be stated in the solicitation. No other site visits will be conducted. Questions or Requests for Information (RFI's) from Bidders must be typewritten and e-mailed to the Contracting Officer, Mark S. Harville @ mark.harville@va.gov. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Offers are solicited only from SDVOSB concerns and offers received from concerns that are not from SDVOSB concerns shall not be considered.
