Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY The United States Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (CEHNC) is hereby releasing this Request for Information (RFI) regarding execution of industrial painting for an elevated, steel water tower in Pennsylvania. The scope of work involves interior tank painting for a riveted, steel water tank. The water tank is elevated 125 ft high, and was built in 1937. The tank will provide storage of 200,000 gallons of potable water to the installation. The Government is seeking information as to whether or not this painting is feasible for execution during winter months (December-March), in the state of Pennsylvania, the potential for minimizing negative impacts for performing such work during extreme cold temperatures, or the necessary precautions to account for temperature differences between tank interior and exterior environments. Companies are encouraged to respond to this RFI with industry recommendations and or technical information. The information resulting from this RFI will assist the Government in finalizing its overall acquisition strategy. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this announcement. This is a Request For Information (RFI) ONLY. THIS IS NOT A Request For Proposal (RFP). No proposals will be accepted at this time. All responses will be considered. No hard copy or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Extraneous materials (brochures, manuals, etc) will not be considered. The Government does not intend to rank submittals or provide any reply to information being provided. Responses to this RFI shall be submitted by 12:00 PM CST on 6 November 2013 to Timothy Griffin at Timothy.J.Griffin@usace.army.mil
