- The Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), Gallup Indian Medical Center, Gallup, New Mexico intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Roche Diagnostics, 9115 Hague Rd Indianapolis, IN, for Reagents/Supplies under Cost Per Kit (CPK) Equipment: COBAS 6000 and COBAS INTEGRA 400, in accordance with VA Contract # V797P-7347A. Estimated contract award to be $180,000.00. NAICS 334516 applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The government believes that Roche is the only authorized provider capable of providing for the specialized CPK equipment at a fair and reasonable price. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated services may provide a capability statement. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 4:00pm MST on November 27, 2014. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
