Description
RFI for HHS ASPR – Ground Ambulance Service This is a request for information (RFI) (NOT A SOLICITATION). The United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (HHS ASPR) is seeking a potential source to be "on call" to provide interfacility transport services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code associated with this RFI is 621910, Ambulance Services. The size standard for the NAICS 621910 is $14,000,000.00. This industry, Ambulance Services, comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing transportation of patients by ground or air, along with medical care. These services are often provided during a medical emergency but are not restricted to emergencies. The vehicles are equipped with lifesaving equipment operated by medically trained personnel. These services are anticipated to be primarily at the basic life support level. However, the source should also have the ability to provide advanced life support and critical care transport services. The source must be capable of providing transportation from virtually any hospital in the United States to one of a number of designated receiving facilities. The source must be able to respond to potential requests within six hours. It is expected that these transports would be within a reasonable distance to allow for safe, ground transportation. In some instances, these transports may be from a sending facility to an airport location. Please see the attached document(s) for further information on the potential requirement along with instructions on submitting a Capabilities Statement.
