Description

Class J&A for nuclear technical support for U.S. submarines. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard intends issue an order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for "A" qualified radiological control technicians and "R" qualified competent person in support of efforts onboard US Submarines. This order will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 23049(C) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and authorized in Class Justification and Approval (J&A) number 40,970, dated 10/04/2013. Two contract holders Electric Boat Corporation (75 Eastern Point Rd, Groton, CT 06340, contract number N00024-14-G-4300) and Huntington Ingalls Incorporated (4104 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607, contract number N00024-14-G-4301) shall be solicited for proposals and are the only known sources with the detailed knowledge of and familiarity with nuclear submarines and who hold the required certifications/qualifications to perform the work. This announcement is for information purposes only. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal to be considered by the agency.
