- RFQ for installation of new reheat coils and piping This is a combined synopsis solicitation (Request for Quote). The United States Merchant Marine Academy has a requirement for installation of new reheat coils and piping at the Bland Library on its campus in Kings Point, NY (Nassau county) The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment and supervision to connect all new coils, new piping, valves, fittings, air eliminators and actuators to all reheat coils throughout the Bland library building. Performance period is 30 calendar days after receipt of Notice Proceed. Magnitude is $25,000 to $100,000. A 60 day offer acceptance period is required. Bid bonds, payment bonds and performance bonds are NOT required. Davis-Bacon Act is applicable. This is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Applicable NAICS Code is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors), $15.0 million size standard. All quotes are due by 09:30 a.m. local time Friday, December 05, 2014. A pre-bid conference/site tour will be held at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Bland Library, 300 Steamboat Road, Kings Point, N.Y. at 9:30 a.m. local time on Wednesday November 12, 2014. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended. To be eligible for award a contractor must be actively registered in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov database to be eligible to receive a contract award.
