Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that are capable of providing Genomic and Microarray services within the Eastern Colorado Health Care System Research Department. The location for these services is as follows: Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System, 1055 Clermont Stree, Denver, CO 80220. The contractor shall provide the following services: a)NextGen Sequencing: The core offers library constructions for the Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform and its various applications: DNA-seq, mRNA-seq, ChIP-seq, microRNA-seq, Single Read, Paired-End Read, Mate-pair, Targeted Resequencing, and barcode multiplexing. The core offers complete service from library construction to sequencing to analysis. b)Microarray: The core offers two platforms for microarray services including Affymetrix and Illumina. The instrumentation for microarray analysis includes one Affymetrix GeneChip System with an autoloader (capable of auto scanning 48 GeneChips), one Affymetrix GeneTitan MC System, and one Illumina iScan system. The core offers microarray services from both companies on all their catalog arrays and custom arrays. c)DNA, Chromatin, and RNA shearing: The core offers sample shearing services using the Covaris S220 instrument. The Covaris instrument uses ultrasonic wave with defined wavelength and Adaptive Focused Acoustics (AFA) technology to efficiently shear DNA, chromatin, or RNA to size distributions less than 1.5 kb. Covaris is often used for library construction for short read sequencing. d)Data analysis: The core offers statistical and bioinformatic data analysis on primary microarray and next-gen sequencing data and downstream functional analyses. The core also provides commercial software at affordable rates for general use on your own machine by subscription. These software packages include Partek ®, GeneSpring, and Ingenuity ® Pathway Analysis. In addition, the core also offers free microarray and next-gen sequencing pre-experimental consultation to ensure your study's success. The information submitted shall contain the company's business size status. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation! This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice.
