- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 51 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern, PA 19355-1406. The period of performance for contract award will be from January 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015. This requirement is to provide a Gold contract service agreement of Siemens Sireskop SD/SX, Symbia T16 and Symbia net single user imaging systems located at Stratton Albany VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, New York 12208-3410. The service maintenance plan will include parts coverage, x-ray tube, I.I. & detector coverage, remote service support, telephone support, operating system software and hardware reliability reports, as well as, continuing education and support service. Covered equipment includes: ManufacturerModelEE#Site ID# Siemens Medical Solutions USAAxiom Sireskop SD167158400-412815 Siemens Medical Solutions USASymbia T16 SPECT/CT227529400-433585 Siemens Medical Solutions USASymbia.Net Single-User227533100-433586 Siemens is the only known provider since the software is proprietary and the software upgrades and maintenance can only come from Siemens as well as the support services for Siemens Sireskop and Symbia systems. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by November 7, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to richard.williams18@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
