Description
This requirement is for a 5-year, Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements-Type Indefinite-Delivery contract for the repair of failed Countermeasure Test Sets. NSN for the Countermeasure Test Sets is 4920-01-423-4674EW. This requirement will consist of one basic contract period of 12 months and 4 annual options. The Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) for each ordering period are as follows: Basic - 64 each Option I - 142 each Option II - 142 each Option III - 144 each Option IV - 144 each There is no minimum or maximum order amount established. The RFP is being issued on a sole source basis to BAE SYSTEMS INFORMATION AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS (CAGE 19397). The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as supplemented by FAR 6.302-1. Justification: Supplies and services required are available from only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 12 November 2014. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/).
