- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intends to procure 204 sole source General Electric Aviation Systems (GEAS) NSNs, CAGE Codes 05624, 35351, and 07639. It is anticipated that the NSNs will be added to the existing Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), SPE4A2-14-D-0001 in accordance with the originally approved J&A. It is the Government's intent to issue a letter solicitation to the sole source Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), GEAS. The NSNs were not included in the list of original items synopsized for this effort. This contract has 8 years remaining. Some items may have history showing awards to other than the OEM; therefore, responses to this announcement from other than the OEM are required by 11 Dec 2014 and should identify items of interest and include evidence of ability to supply the items for the contract period as identified. A copy of the letter of interest should be forwarded to the Contracting Officer, Daniele Kurze, Daniele.Kurze@dla.mil and SBA PCR Anne Mastrincola ( Anne.Mastrincola@dla.mil ). Surplus dealers are also invited to respond to this synopsis. Offers from surplus dealers must include a completed surplus certificate, DLAD 52.211-9000, Government Surplus Material or adequate traceability documentation to show that the product is acceptable. In addition, respondents should indicate the quantity and available price. The Government may alter the acquisition strategy if purchase of existing surplus or newly-manufactured inventory is in the best interest of the Government. While offers from dealers will be considered, this is a long term requirement and non-OEM sources must be able to satisfy the Government's forecasted demand requirements. The Government may reject offers that cannot realistically meet the Government's forecasted demands. The items considered for addition to the contract are included in Federal Supply Groups 16, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, 41, 47, 48, 53, 58, 59, 61, and 66. DLA does not currently possess technical data for any of these NSNs. Alternate offers must submit a complete technical data package for each NSN offered to be considered in the evaluation. Any items found to be competitive will be removed from the NSN population and procured separately. The conditions of SPE4A2-14-D-0001 apply and changes will only be made via contract modification.
