Description
Brand Name Determination for PPG Aerospace. Combined Synopsis/Solicitation PPG Aerospace PR 1829 B 1/2 Sealant This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 and FAR Subparts 13.302, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals/quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This constitutes the only notification before award. The solicitation reference number F4A2014296AW01 and is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-77. This acquisition will be solicited providing for full and open competition; The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325520. The Small Business Administration size standard is 500 employees. CLIN 0001: PPG Aerospace brand PR-1829 B 1/2 Sealant packaged in 6 oz. two-part Semco Cartridge (240 Each) • Quotes are due 29 October 2014, 1630 CST • The resultant quot¬e must be valid through 29 November 2014 • Please adjust prices to FOB Destination • Delivery to Tyndall AFB, FL 32403 required within 14 calendar days after receipt of order. • This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. NOTES: This is a brand name requirement. Requested sealant must be PPG Aerospace brand. An "or equal" product will not be considered technically acceptable. Please see attached brand name determination for more information. The Government anticipates award on a best value basis. In accordance with FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, the Government intends to award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: 1. Technical Acceptability 2. Delivery 3. Price Technical Acceptability will be determined based on the offeror's ability to conform to the brand name product requested in CLIN 0001 in accordance with the product description.
