Description
NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, intends to award a sole-source contract to Cardiovascular Systems Inc., 651 Campus Drive, St Paul MN 5112, for the purchase of Orbital Atherectomy Systems (OAS), six (6) each, stock numbers DBE-150, DBE-200, PRD-SC30-125, PRD-SC30-150, PRD-SC30-200, and DBP-125MICRO-145. The OAS is used in Interventional Radiology. The OAS is also known as the Diamondback 360 Peripheral OAS and was designed to specifically work in severely calcified plaque. OAS is used as therapy in patients with occlusive atherosclerotic disease in peripheral arteries and who are acceptable candidates for percutaneous transluminal atherectomy. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Shirley B. Adams, Contracting Officer, at Shirley.Adams@va.gov by October 29, 2014, no later than 10:00am EST. All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
