The Air Force Test Center Specialized Contracting Division (AFTC/PZRA) at Edwards Air Force Base is seeking sources for the Air Force Research Laboratory/ Combustion Devices Branch (AFRL/RQRC). INTRODUCTION: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT to determine the availability of small businesses to provide a required software maintenance license that can fulfill required capabilities. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES: The Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL/ RQRC) at Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) in California, requires computer software with maintenance (bug fixes, version upgrades) and technical support, to generate and modify meshes for use in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of advanced combustion device technologies. The simulations are critical to the mission of RQRC combustion technology programs. The mesh generation software is required to (1) create multiblock structured meshes of hexahedral elements, (2) create multiblock unstructured meshes of various element types including hexahedral, tetrahedral and pyramidal, (3) provide the user with fine-grained control over mesh resolution and stretching and over element aspect ratio, (4) import geometries in SolidWorks CAD format, (5) easily create geometries from scratch with integrated CAD capability, (6) generate meshes whose boundaries strictly conform to the imported or created geometries, (7) import and modify meshes in Pointwise format that have already been created by RQRC researchers in the past several years, (8) export meshes in formats accepted by major CFD codes including ANSYS Fluent, CD-Adapco's Star-CCM+ and Metacomp's CFD++, (9) use an advancing front method to reliably extrude boundary layer meshes into the interior volume of the complex topologies encountered in multi-element combustor injectors, and (10) provide a scripting capability to automate parametric mesh generation for a family of combustor or injector geometries that are topologically equivalent. INCUMBENT: Pointwise, Inc. 213 South Jennings Avenue Fort Worth, Texas 76104-1107 Phone: (817) 377-2807 CLIN0001: Pointwise software right to use perpetual license annual maintenance NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE: The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 511210, with the corresponding size standard of $38,500,000.00. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Responses should include: 1) Business name and address; 2) Name of company representative and their business title; 3) Business Size and Type of Small Business (if applicable); 4) Cage Code; 5) Contract vehicles that would be available to the Government for the procurement of the product and service, i.e., General Service Administration (GSA), GSA NASA SEWP, Federal Supply Schedules (FSS), or any other Government Agency contract vehicle. (This information is for market research only and does not preclude your company from responding to this notice.) 6) Interested businesses should be authorized sellers/resellers of proposed software solution. Vendors who wish to respond to this should send responses via email NLT 2:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on 27 October 2014 to rosann.knarreborg.1@us.af.mil. Proprietary information and trade secrets, if any, must be clearly marked on all materials. All information received that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
