This is a Sources Sought notice for information only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. In preparation for an urgent procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned small business, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 334516 that can offer the services listed below. Please submit statements of capabilities electronically to corey.labbe2@va.gov no later than Monday Oct 27, 2014 @ 1000 CST. Phone inquiries will not be accepted. Please reference announcement number VA256-12-I-1386 in the subject line of your e-mail. VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER SCOPE OF WORK REPAIR OF CARDIAC OUTPUT MONITORS USED IN SICU SECTION A Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision to repair the two Cardiac output monitors (SN:VG010183 & VG001725) used in the ICU clinical areas located at the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77024. All repairs must be performed by manufacturer licensed professionals using only original equipment manufacturer parts. Following the repair, vendor must demonstrate to a MEDVAMC Biomed Technician that the equipment runs properly according to manufacturer specified levels. The contract price shall be firm-fixed, all inclusive not limited to specified products/equipment, installation, and setup/configuration, DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1)Contractor will provide the repairs needed for two Cardiac Output monitors. S/N VG010183 & S/N VG001725. 2)Contractor will be contacted to verify and document that both Cardiac output monitors are running properly and communicate with MEDVAMC staff when the Cardiac output monitors are ready for use. 3)Contractor will coordinate with MEDVAMC staff to ensure no impact to patient care during maintenance. PRIVACY/SECURITY The contractor will not have electronic connectivity to the devices and will not have access to patient databases or receive screenshots with PHI present. Any electronic or magnetic data storage devices such as hard drives, etc. shall be turned into the ISO. Electronic or magnetic data storage devices are not to be removed from VA property.
