Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 13.106-1(b) The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed contract to Trilliant Surgical, LTD for one (1) Trilliant Surgical Gridlock Plating System that includes various gridlock plates, screws and drills, model 300-00-000. The requirement is for the Louis Stokes Cleveland VAMC. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting Competition and FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. NAICS code: 339112 SURGICAL AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT MANUFACTURING (SBA Size Standard 500 Employees). This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
