Description
225 WLB MMAPROCUREMENT SPECIFICATION SIDE SCAN SONAR ENGINEERING CHANGE EQUIPMENT UNIT, PRESERVATION, PACKAGING AND MARKING, STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR USCG SFLC-ESD-NAME D-084-0481 The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, (SFLC) In-Service Vessel Sustainment (ISVS) Section is seeking interested and capable sources to provide Towable Array Dual Frequency Side Scan Sonars using Compressed High-Intensity Radiated Pulse (CHIRP) technology and ancillary equipment for the 225' WLB Class Buoy Tenders. The system will be delivered to the CG Yard in Baltimore, Maryland for installation by the Government. The Coast Guard anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract for an estimated quantity of 16 ship sets over the life of the project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for the project is 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Aeronautical and Navigation System and Instrument Manufacturing. The small business standard is 750 employees. This notice is a Request for Information (RFI) to identify businesses with the interest in and capability to provide a suitable system in regards to the attached Draft Specification. This is not a solicitation, and proposals are not being requested at this time; however, the previously issued solicitation HSCG40-14-R-60669 which was subsequently cancelled, is related to this notice. Interested parties are requested to provide the following, in writing, to the below POC's: 1) any questions regarding the attached specification, 2) capability to provide an acceptable item that conforms to the specification requirements, including product literature/drawings/performance characteristics, 3) recommendations for the attached specification, and 4) company's business size with respect to NAICS code 334511. Only those firms who respond to this announcement will be considered when determining whether to set aside this requirement for small businesses. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted as a result of this Request for Information. Your written response to this notice must be submitted to Contract Specialist Support Contractor, Loverna Johnson, at Loverna.L.Johnson@uscg.mil and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Thomas Garland at Thomas.J.Garland@ucg.mil. The submission must be received on or before 2:30 PM EST on Friday October 31, 2014.
