- Description
- RFI Package RFI Cover Page This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for the purpose of determining market capability of sources or obtaining information. It does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services discussed in this notice. Any formal solicitation that may subsequently be issued will be announced separately. Information on the specific topics of interest is provided in the following sections of this announcement. Neither the USPS OIG nor any other part of the federal government will be responsible for any cost incurred by responders in furnishing this information. The RFI is to provide USPS OIG with the backbone for ensuring that we have an understanding of the industry availability of solutions that meet the agency's needs for both legal and investigative purposes. Prequalification is the process of up-front identification of top-quality suppliers able to compete for specific types of contract opportunities. Selection of the right supplier is critical to USPS OIG's success. Having the right supplier augments the USPS OIG's ability to deliver high-quality and innovative services to its customers and reduces operational risks. The USPS OIG shall review and analyze the RFI responses submitted. Based on the results of the evaluation, the USPS OIG may determine a list of prequalified suppliers. The OIG's Office of Investigation requires a new, state-of-the-art, web-based, secure system for managing all documents, activities, and results related to Hotline complaints and criminal allegations and investigations.
