- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a fixed-price, sole source task order to the Boeing Company for Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6393, "To procure 251 Life of Type Buy (LoTB) for GSI SRAM and 126 (LoTB) for Xilinx Virtex-II Series FPGA" under basic ordering agreement (BOA) N00019-11-G-0001. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort.
