- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a notice of intent to issue an Firm Fixed Price award on the basis of other than Full and Open competition in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is not a Request for Quotes or Proposals. No contract award will be made based on responses to this notice. The purpose of this notice is to allow interested parties to assert and explain their capability to perform the work described. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to issue a single source award for comprehensive suite of services to transport, store, manage, relocate, and retrieve backup media services for disaster recovery from a secure, offsite facility to Iron Mountain Information Management, Inc., 1821 Michael Faraday Dr. Ste. 100, Reston, VA, 20190-5345. Iron Mountain is qualified to handle business data backup needs for companies of all sizes, from startups and small businesses to enterprise-level businesses in a secured climate controlled environment for the US Army Medical Research Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR). The total award amount, including options, estimated to be $15,000.00. The contractor is expected to provide services to manage backup media across its lifecycle; moving tapes offsite and into the care of a trusted third party with proven resources, technology and experience focused on protecting our data, to reduce downtime and restoring data to operational levels; data should be stored in a climate controlled highly protected facilities where each vault must maintain acceptable temperature (60 - 70 degrees F); and each vault must maintain acceptable humidity (35% - 45%) away from 100-year flood plain and known fault lines. Finally the facility must be away from statistically high crime and fire areas in a building with 100% suppression coverage and five miles from computer location and accessable to major commercial center. Contractors who can provide USAMRAA with the required services are invited to electronically submit their capability statements that demonstrate clear and convincing evidence, that their firm will satisfy the government's technical requirement. Capability Statements should appear on company letterhead and include, at minimum, affirmation of active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM), your Data Universal qualifications, and any applicable pricing data or information. All responses should include a point of contact, telephone number, and electronic mail address. Additionally, respondents should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone, service disabled veteran-owned small business, or qualify as socially or economically disadvantaged and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of this type of service. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis and all responses will be considered by the agency.
